Business Support Administrator - Wolverhampton / South Staffs

Job Summary

The Business Support Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our company's administrative functions. This position requires a highly organised, detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple tasks efficiently and provide comprehensive support to various departments. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

We are recruiting for two positions: 1 x Full Time and 1 x Part-Time.

The Full-Time role will be 5 days a week, with up to 2 days home-working and the opportunity to co-work in a flexible meeting space in WV10. The Part-time role will be 3-4 days with a minimum of 3 days in the WV10 office.

Equipment will be provided where necessary and the successful candidate will report directly into our Managing Director, Antony Hyett.

We are looking for the full-time role to commence in October/November 2024 and part-time role to commence in November/December 2024.



Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support:

  • Provide general administrative support to the team, including managing emails, scheduling meetings, and handling phone calls.

  • Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents.

  • Manage and maintain executives’ schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements.

Document and Data Management:

  • Create, maintain, and organise electronic files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and accessible.

  • Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.

  • Accurately input and update data in company databases and systems.

  • Generate reports, summaries, and presentations as needed.

Customer Service:

  • Respond to inquiries from clients, partners, and team members in a professional and timely manner.

  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external clients.

  • To be comfortable responding to initial sales calls from schools and confident to speak with existing clients. 

Office Coordination:

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of company events, meetings, and conferences.

  • Ensure the office environment is well-organised and professional.

Project Assistance:

  • Support various projects by conducting research, compiling data, and preparing documents.

  • Collaborate with team members on project timelines and deliverables.

  • You will be required from time to time to travel to support school workshops and special events across the country. Travel and expenses will be covered.

Requirements

Essential:

  • The successful candidate will undergo a Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check prior to commencing the role. This is to ensure they are suitable to work with children. Failure to provide a clear Enhanced DBS check will void the candidate from this process.

  • Must have access to your own vehicle and have a full UK driving licence.

  • Must be legally able to work in the UK. We will not sponsor candidates who are not already legally able to work in the UK.

Education and Experience:

  • A-levels or equivalent; Certifications in Business Administration or related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in an administrative or support role is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Google/Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.

  • Professional and courteous demeanour.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the Education sector

  • Have previous Management experience

  • Have previous experience working remotely, to be self-motivated and diligent when working on your own. 

  • Have an interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications - £23,000 per annum - £27,000 per annum depending on experience. This is pro-rata for the Part-Time position.

  • Annual Leave, Sick Leave, Maternity Leave & Paternity Leave:

    • For a full time role, staff will receive 28 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays).

    • Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) for up to 28 weeks.

    • 100% pay for the first 4 weeks of Maternity Leave, followed by 2 weeks leave on 50% of average weekly earnings, then Statutory Maternity Pay for up to 33 weeks.

    • 4 weeks Paternity leave at 100% pay, and 2 weeks leave on 50% of average weekly earnings.
