Workshop Reviews

''I just wanted to say a huge thank you from all the staff and pupils who took part yesterday. I've never seen them so engaged and the opportunity has already had a huge impact on our pupils. I would love to rebook in the future, and also share details with the rest of the Vantage Academy Trust. If the opportunity for fully funded workshops comes up again, please do get in contact as we'd love to take up the opportunity with a new cohort. Thank you so much again.''

— Zoe Drury, from St Barnabas Primary Academy in Greater Manchester

“Students loved the workshop. A few year 9 students now really want to do triple science as a result. Students enhanced their communication skills and team building and problem solving skills. It also made students more aware of other careers around STEM and not just medicine”

— Hunna Bhatti, The Radcliffe School, Oldham.

“It was absolutely amazing -all pupils engaged, especially our SEND pupils. We would love something similar for younger pupils in the future.”

— Geraldine Terry, Manor Court Community Primary, Chard.

“Dear Mr Hyett,

Thank you for bringing us this amazing opportunity. I really enjoyed your workshop and loved working with my team to make a Lego robot.

Your workshop was very fun and I think that everyone found it very interesting.

All of the separate jobs/missions/tasks were very fun, however I think my favourite part of the workshop had to be modifying our robots to pick up the ‘nuclear waste’ with a magnet!

Thank you for allowing us to experience this amazing workshop and opening our minds to STEM.”

— Caspar, Year 6, St John’s Beaumont, London.

“I just wanted to share that yesterday was a brilliant day! Richard delivered the sessions so well to our Y9 students and they absolutely loved coding the drones. It was a great success.

Hopefully we can work with you again in the future,”

— Emma Drysdale, Coop Academy Manchester.

''This was a truly invaluable experience for our pupils, most of whom are from the most deprived areas in our city. Jack and Annie were absolutely brilliant with our pupils. We feel so fortunate to have had this input; we are confident that this will have inspired some of them to consider pursuing a STEM (or STEAM!) related pathway. Thank you so much.''

Jenny Urquhart, Inverness High School, Scotland.

“I have taught these children all year. They have had many experiences, including trampolining, skate-boarding and scooters, but I have never seen [child’s name] so animated and involved. Thank you so much!”

— Kathy Williams, Westmorland Primary School

This has been fantastic, we've seen them work in totally different ways and it's just what they need. I've loved being in here".

Fantastic workshop all round - excellent communications in advance, planned and delivery in a very engaging way and relevant, interesting content. The students have loved the day and, from my point of view, it has been amongst the most successful external workshops we've run at the Academy. Thank you to Adam for excellent delivery and everyone involved n the planning.
